Developed by Hudson Soft and distributed by Konami, Ninja Five-O (in Europe Ninja Cop) is one of the good examples of the Game Boy Advance that we usually forget to include in the lists of best console games. That doesn’t take away its merit, but there are so many good games on the 32-bit laptop that sometimes you can’t count them all. Fortunately for the players, Ninja Five-O will be re-released by Limited Run Games on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5.
Our ninja protagonist, Joe Osugi, must stop a terrorist gang that has managed to obtain the Mad Masks, a collection of ancient artifacts that grant mystical powers to whoever uses them. This physical game usually sells for hundreds of dollars, and in pristine condition exceeds $2000 USD. This is how bubble the current retro situation is. We’re not saying it’s not worth it, but it certainly some take advantage of price speculation to seek fortunes.
As usual, Limited Run Games will release physical and digital versions of the game. It will include animated sequences and a menu powered by the company’s Carbon Engine. Apart from the trailer, there is no further information about the additions to the classic GBA game.
