The NG24 Spring is celebrating 20 years of the Nordic Game and has some surprises planned.
The Nordic Game Conference invites you to celebrate the 20th anniversary at NG24 Spring from May 21st to 24th in the historic Slagthuset in Malmö, Sweden, or participate online via Discord, Twitch and YouTube. Tickets are here available.
20 years of support and commitment from the wider developer community, from small start-ups to some of the world’s most prominent studios, have made Nordic Game the leading industry event in Europe. Nordic Game recognizes this milestone and thanks everyone who contributed to it.
In 2024, Nordic Game will reflect on the past, celebrate the present and look at the future of the gaming industry in the region and globally.
This year’s speaker program includes talks and sessions with a range of leading industry figures and studios, both from the Nordic region and around the world. The first speakers are yet to be officially announced, but here is a small foretaste of the high-profile profiles in the current program schedule:
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora lead game designer Lau Korsgaard (Massive Ent.), creative lead Fredrik Olson of the Amnesia franchise (Frictional Games) and Erwin Kho, art director and art lead of the award-winning game COCOON are part of the first group.
Joining this great trio are developers from global studios like Larian Studios (Baldur’s Gate 3), Funcom (Metal: Hellsinger), IO Interactive (Hitman), Ghostship Games (Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor), and companies like AMD and Valve/Steam. In total, more than 150 speakers will speak at NG24 Spring.
But NG24 Spring is of course much more than just lectures. Popular events such as the Games Capital Summit, the Nordic Game Expo, the Executive Summit, the Nordic Game Awards, MeetToMatch, the Nordic Game Discord and many more will take place again.
There will also be many new ideas and some surprises.
For twenty years, Nordic Game has been about developers first, and there’s no better place to celebrate than the NG24 Spring Developer Showcase. More than 150 new and upcoming games will be showcased from the Nordic countries, but also from countries around the world, including Philippines, Canada, Europe and Germany.
Developers present their projects, speak to publishers, investors, media and the conference audience and expand their knowledge and skills with the help of the Mighty Diamonds mentor network. They also have the opportunity to pitch and/or give a talk on the special Dev Showcase stage. More information will follow in the coming months.
