Palworld is probably the surprise hit of the year. The title went through the roof and has now reached another incredible milestone.
Palworld has been making gaming history since its launch and no one expected it. After all, the title was the only one besides PUBG to attract over two million players to the PC on Steam at the same time. The hype has now died down a bit and the number of players has leveled off at around 300,000 at the same time, but other games can only dream of that.
As developer Pocketpair announced, another major milestone has now been reached. According to this, Palworld now has over 25 million players after just one month. This means that more players have engaged with Palworld within just a few weeks than, for example, Elden Ring (approx. 23 million) or Hogwarts Legacy (approx. 22 million) over their entire lifetime.
The PC version of Palworld is ahead with 15 million players, while the Xbox has at least 10 million. The PC version is probably better for the developers’ finances, because the game was playable for free in Game Pass on Xbox from launch.
It will be interesting to see how long the hype lasts. After all, the number of players has already fallen significantly and the competition is not sleeping. Titles like Helldivers 2 and Last Epoch are also currently busy mixing up the top 10 most played games on Steam, Sons of the Forest has officially been released and, given upcoming releases like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Dragon’s Dogma 2, more players could be lured away from Palworld.
