Today’s edition of Pokemon Direct has just revealed its big announcement, a new game that will include a very popular feature! And it’s coming soon to Nintendo Switch!
The Pokemon License hasn’t said its last word yet! Newcomers have been coming for years and aspiring coaches are enthusiastic. Each title is an incredible hit every time, even if the latest episodes on Nintendo Switch have been heavily criticized for their technology. The fans are numerous and those who aren’t interested in Pokemon Pocket, the brand new trading card game, know that a good, big game is coming to Nintendo Switch soon.
A brand new Pokémon game announced!
Yes, today’s big announcement is none other than Legendary Pokémon ZA, a brand new game that we know…absolutely nothing about. We were invited to a short presentation with several Pokémon illustrated like animated architectural plans. They talk to us in particular about urban redevelopment and give us a name: Illumis. Doesn’t that mean anything to you?
In fact, it is the capital of the Kalos region (Pokemon X and Y), one of the games most appreciated by players elsewhere. These works took place in a region inspired by France and therefore in Paris, the City of Lights. The Z in the title also refers to Zygarde, a legendary Pokémon of this generation. As it had done Legends Pokémon Arceus in his time. Legends Pokemon ZA is scheduled for worldwide release in 2025. The final release date has yet to be announced. We might even have one of the very first games for Nintendo Switch 2, let’s dream a little.
A much appreciated feature back!
In addition, a very popular feature is making a comeback: Mega Evolutions. Keep in mind that these were monstrous and temporary evolutions that allowed certain Pokémon to transform into powerful new creatures. A feature that appeared on Nintendo DS games back in the day and eventually gave way to Dynamax and other Teracrystallizations. A return to the past would visibly be underway and that shouldn’t displease fans of the franchise.
For now, we’re just waiting to find out more.
