The dream is over – anyone who was looking forward to a bounty hunter adventure after the repeated rumors about a Mandalorian game developed by Respawn Entertainment must now give up that hope. Whatever content was planned for the Star Wars shooter, EA ended the project.

EA’s entertainment boss Laura Miele followed as an addendum to the dismissal of almost 700 people at Electronic Arts some announcements
This also affects the plans for Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall, Apex Legends and the two Star Wars Jedi games.
Miele explains in the internal memo:
[…] We decided to abandon early development of a Star Wars FPS action game and focus on new projects based on our own brands, while also providing support for existing games. It’s always hard to abandon a project, and this decision doesn’t reflect the team’s talent, tenacity, or passion for the game.
It is unknown how affected Respawn will be by the layoffs. IGN Sea A large part of the team was distributed to other projects, including the sequel to the successful Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Rumors about Mandalorian game
Rumors have been circulating for several years about a Star Wars game that takes on the famous mercenaries. Just two weeks ago there was a new leak about the title in question.
According to the report, the game revolves around a bounty hunter at the height of the empire. As a Mandalorian, the player should have numerous gadgets at his disposal, including the jetpack typical of the people.
It is not yet officially known what Respawn’s Star Wars shooter was all about. The project is currently on hold. There are currently numerous mass layoffs in the games industry, which also have consequences for planned games.
