Released last summer, Remnant II has received a significant new update. This finally brings the title cross-play between PC and consoles.
Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games today confirmed via press release that the successful survival action shooter Remnant II finally has a much-awaited feature: cross-play. The new update now allows gamers to play together on the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. So you can team up with your friends in the game, regardless of which platform they are on.
David Adams, President of Gunfire Games and Game Director of Remnant II, said of today’s update: “Cross-play has been one of the most requested features for Remnant II by players and our community is so amazing that they have patiently waited until “This feature was able to be implemented. We are very excited to release this update today as the team has worked hard to make it a reality. There is also more content to come, such as the second DLC for Remnant II!”
Aside from the cross-play feature, the update also brings back the in-game event “Deviations en masse” from last October. Until March 5th, you can discover hordes of menacing aberrations across all worlds. By defeating these enemies, you can collect rare Corrupted Shards and use them to craft new Corrupted Weapons.
This limited-time event also brings five new versions of the following weapons to the game: Savior, Wicked Arbaleste, Crossbow of Sorrow, Cube Weapon, and Nebula.
