Cyberpunk 2077 is already a big slap in the face, but with this great new feature the game promises to be a real eye-catcher. This is where Night City really shines.
Cyberpunk 2077 has lived a good life and now players are starting to set their sights on the sequel. In the meantime, CD Projekt Red continues to distribute more or less major updates. After that, we imagine the studio begins to take stock of the things that need to be fixed in the game or the additions that players expect. However, one would forget that the community is also full of resources, as it has just proven with a new feature that makes the title even more beautiful.
Cyberpunk 2077 is going to give you a big slap in the face with this addition
At this point you must probably have understood it, but we are going to talk about a mod. Cyberpunk 2077 had a lot of these, affecting both combat and the minimap. This time it attacks a very particular aspect of the experience: its textures. The mod ” Overhaul of environmental textures » aims to improve the quality of certain parts of the environment. The latter may not necessarily be judged as very pretty, but opinions will undoubtedly change. Here is the description we can read, which is actually quite extensive:
This mod replaces many poor quality textures, be it architecture, terrain or environment, to create more faithful textures while maintaining good optimization. This also includes new small mixtures and diverse and varied textures. Textures are created to fit the base image, but always improve the quality while better fitting the environment.

If you are interested, this mod is already available NexusMods since March 1st. Downloading is quick, easy and efficient. We’re still being told about a total of 170 new textures for Night City, which is quite a undertaking. The creator also posted screenshots of his work so we can form an initial opinion before restoring. We have given you an example below and we have to admit that the result is quite convincing. Now it’s up to you to take a trip to Cyberpunk 2077’s city (again) to experience these changes.
