The number of discs that Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox Series X will ship on has now been determined.
The question of how many discs Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox Series X will be shipped on was decided because of 500 MB.
Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian has provided an update and confirmed that there will be four discs across which the RPG will be distributed.
As Douse writes, they were 500 MB over the limit in order to squeeze it onto free discs, which is why it ends up being one more.
“The Xbox retail version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will actually be 4 discs as we are 500MB over the 3 disc limit. The only option would have been to cut out some content, but that didn’t make sense, so 4 is confirmed,” said Douse.
The first wave of deliveries will probably be delayed from the last week in March to the first week in April due to the clarification of the disc issue.
Douse said: “It is likely that the Wave 1 date of March 25 will be pushed back to the first week of April as a result, but we will begin shipping each SKU in order of readiness. PC first. No discs make life easy. 4 discs, difficult!”
