The WWII strategy game Classified: France ’44 has been released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Absolutely Games and Team17 Digital today released the WWII-based strategy epic Classified: France ’44 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
An original take on the turn-based tactics genre, Classified: France ’44 authentically captures the challenges of World War II firefights and highlights a lesser-known story.
Players take command of the Jedburghs: a group of special forces dropped deep in the heart of Nazi-occupied France who work with the Resistance to disrupt and sabotage enemy forces in the lead-up to D-Day.
With the Deluxe and Overlord Editions of Classified: France ’44, players are prepared for war. The Deluxe Edition is available for 39.99 dollars and includes the base game and the first DLC, while the Overlord Edition, available for 49.99 dollars, includes the base game and the full Season Pass1, which gives players access to all granted in four upcoming DLCs. The standard edition is available for 34.99 dollars.
James Brooksby, CEO, Absolutely Games, said: “The entire team at Absolutely Games is thrilled to share Classified: France ’44 with the world. We wanted to create our own unique take on the turn-based tactics genre, telling the story of the emerging special forces and brave resistance fighters who heroically work behind enemy lines and cause as much disruption and chaos as possible in the lead-up to D-Day. We hope that we have achieved that and more – that what we have created in Classified: France ’44 is an ambitious game that is an authentic mix of tactical stealth, intense firefights, strategic campaign, a wide range of characters and unique game mechanics that players will enjoy for years to come.”
