Princess Peach: Showtime! Demo available on Nintendo eShop

A free one Princess Peach: Showtime! The demo is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Nintendo announced this on Wednesday. Nintendo Surprise has started the demo ahead of the game’s March 22 release date.

Princess Peach: Showtime! puts Peach back in the spotlight for the first time in nearly two decades. Peach’s job? Saving the Sparkle Theater from the villains Grape and Sour Bunch. To save the theater, Peach joins various stage plays – with different costumes and unique abilities – to take down the villains. The free demo allows players to don the Swordfighter Peach and Pâtissier Peach costumes to adventure through their respective levels. You can see several parts of it Princess Peach: Showtime!

A new trailer released alongside the announcement shows gameplay from Swordfighter Peach, Ninja Peach, Figure Skater Peach, and several others.

Nintendo also showed off an additional mode, Rehearsal, in which Peach can take on waves of enemies and earn rewards such as new ways to customize Peach’s outfits. (You can also customize your companion Stella.)

After playing Princess Peach: Showtime! At a preview event in February, Polygon called the game a “charming, simple adventure” but noted that the game sometimes struggled to work on the Nintendo Switch’s aging hardware. Princess Peach: Showtime!

was first revealed in September 2023 following a teaser in June. This is Nintendo’s last game starring Peach Super Princess Peach, which was released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS. Of course you could also play her role Super Mario Bros Wonderwhich came out in October.

Princess Peach: Showtime! will be released on March 22nd for Nintendo Switch.
