Although Samsung is one of the manufacturers that updates its mobile phones the most and most frequently, this does not mean that it leaves part of the catalog without updating the software: little by little, the end is coming to the oldest cell phones. And there are four that have to say goodbye to updates, their owners will no longer see new versions of Android or security patches.
Samsung has given its newest phones a huge boost with the seven-year warranty on updates for all Samsung Galaxy S24s, three phones that, if the numbers don’t change, they will receive Android 21. Seven years of system updates and security patches, like the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, but not the same as previous models, which had less support. Some have just lost this support.
Samsung removes S10, Note 10, Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A02 from support list
The South Korean manufacturer keeps a detailed record of all the updates received by different smartphones, tablets and smart watches. This list references the models eligible for new software versions. And when a device leaves the list, is officially out of additional updates
As SamMobile discovered, the support list has handled four recent cancellations. These drops correspond to widely sold and popular models, but there is no choice: they have reached the end of the road.

All of these phones will no longer receive software updates unless Samsung discovers a major bug and decide to fix it to protect your users (something strange, but not impossible). And there are two versions for which a security patch is still reserved: the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A02s are still in play.
