Deadpool and WolverineThe third entry in Ryan Reynolds’ series of comedic comic book films, will miss a beloved character from Fox’s X Men Movies when it comes out this summer. The character in question is Juggernaut, who is best remembered (at least cinematically) for his appearance in X-Men: The Last Stand in which he utters the iconic phrase, “I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!” According to actor Vinnie Jones, the man under Juggernaut’s large helmet, he will not appear in the series Deadpool and Wolverine. But he was asked!
During an interview with Yahoo UK Appearing on March 6, Jones discussed the highly anticipated film, which will also serve as Deadpool’s entry point into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. “Funnily enough, I was just asked to do this Dead Poolthe new one now,” Jones said, “I spoke to the director and said it’s such a drama mentally and physically putting on that suit.” If Jones had agreed to be there Deadpool and Wolverinewould have joined a growing list of actors from previous, non-MCU Marvel films, including Jennifer Garner’s version of Electra which she played for the first time in 2003 Daredeviland Aaron Stanfords Pyro from that X Men Films.
Jones also discussed his bad experiences X-Men: The Last Stand, said that the Juggernaut “didn’t play the same role” in the final cut of the film [he] “I was committed to doing this” after undergoing many changes during production, which he described as being in shambles. Part of his dissatisfaction also stemmed from the toll donning the Juggernaut costume took, particularly the massive helmet that nearly encased his head. “I mean it took its mental toll too because you’re stuck in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. That’s why we couldn’t close the deal Dead Pool.”
The second Dead Pool The film featured a different version of Juggernaut, voiced by Reynolds, so it’s still possible that Juggernaut could appear in it Deadpool and Wolverine. But it definitely won’t be Jones under that big helmet.
