It’s surprising how many Apple Watches get lost at the bottom of the sea…
The Apple Watch offers a multitude of functions and features that make our lives much easier. Beyond that, the Apple Watch has saved many lives with its health features. But, apparently, it has a small flaw that no one took into account: does not float in water.
A professional diver expert in metal detection claims to have collected over 200 Apple Watch units while working in the lakes of northern Illinois, USA.
According to Shaw Local News reports, Darick Langos found all kinds of devices diving with your metal detectorfrom iPhone to Apple Watch.
More than 200 Apple Watches at the bottom of Illinois lakes
Day after day, we see all kinds of stories circulating about cell phones lost at the bottom of the sea, like this time a man found an iPhone while searching for treasure in a river. But the iPhone is not the only Apple device lost in the abysmal and dark depths of the sea… Let’s know the story.
Darick Langos, a diver from Illinois, says a wide variety of objects have been discovered in recent years. He found gold rings, glasses and lots of electronic devices like iPhone and Apple Watch.
The most curious thing of all is that the Apple Watch is one of the most common objects you find while using your metal detector at the bottom of lakes. As he recently noted, “most of them wore the original strap.”
And as you can see in the photo we attached above these lines, the vast majority of these Apple Watches have a sports bracelet. Which suggests that Apple is succeeding in perfecting the attachment system for the next Apple Watch with magnetic bracelets.
Some electronic devices continue to work even if they spend long periods underwater.. There are some fascinating stories related to this topic. Last year we discovered how an iPhone 11 survived 7 meters deep in a lake for a week. It is for this reason that this diver recovers these devices and then returns them to their rightful owners. Although, unfortunately, this is not always possible.
