In the next main installment in the Ghost Recon series, the team is said to be hunting for a traitor in the middle of a war zone.
Ubisoft is reportedly working on the next main game in the Ghost Recon series under the project name “Ovr” or “Over”. The fictional setting serves as the setting and plot
“Naiman War”, in a hostile country in the southeast of the world.
Insider Gaming has received new details from anonymous sources that the game will launch between 2025 and 2026. It is therefore a squad-based tactical military shooter that is played in first-person.
For the next Ghost Recon, the developers were inspired by games like the Modern Warfare and Battlefield series, but also Squad and Ready or Not.
It is said about the plot that hundreds of thousands died as a result of war crimes in the Naiman War. The Ghost team heads into the war zone to find a traitor in a secret operation.
Missions and sections are described as potentially dark and controversial. In one of the missions, the squad almost shoots a man with a baby in his arms because they think it is a bomb. Only at the last second does it become clear that this is not the case.
Graphically, Project Ovr/Over is said to have improved compared to its predecessors. It can best be compared to Ready or Not.
