The Last of Us: Part II: Is the remastered version coming to PC?

Coming, part, Remastered, version

So far, The Last of Us: Part II is reserved for PC gamers. According to a leaker, this situation could change, so the announcement is imminent. The release, however, will take a little longer.

It wasn’t until January 2024 that Naughty Dog released a remastered version of The Last of Us: Part II on the PlayStation 5. This not only expands the blockbuster with 4K resolution, revised textures or new graphical effects. It also introduced the roguelike mode “No Return”, let you explore “Lost Levels” and let you really play the guitar in an amazingly extensive mini-game.

If you haven’t been able to get your hands on The Last of Us: Part II yet due to an acute PlayStation shortage, we may have good news for you. According to the leaker Silknigth, the announcement of a PC version is imminent.

According to him, Sony and Naughty Dog should officially present the port in April 2024, but he doesn’t know a specific date. What is definitely certain for him, however, is that there should be a relatively long time between the announcement and the release.

He uses Ghost of Tsushima as a comparison. A PC version of the Japanese adventure was only announced last week and will be released on May 16, 2024. So we can stay tuned to see if and when the PC version of The Last of Us: Part II Remastered will be released.

The porting certainly doesn’t seem unreasonable. After all, in the past Sony regularly went the route of bringing PlayStation exclusives such as Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War or The Last of Us: Part I to the computing machine.
