Astro Duel 2 is colorful, loud and could be a real hit at your next co-op party
- Release: March 7, 2024
- Genre: Action
- Free until: March 14 at 4:59 p.m
If you’ve never heard of Astro Duel 2 before, it’s no wonder: the game was released just in time for Epic’s free campaign. You now have a whole week to try out the title for free.
Astro Duel 2 is one colorful mix of sci-fi fighting game, top-down shooting and platforming action. That alone sounds wild, but the gameplay in action is even wilder. Just take a look at the trailer above.
The game principle is simple and should be fun, especially against real players: you fight in either co-op or duel mode completely destructible levels. To do this, you either take a seat in a variety of spaceships, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages, or you beat your opponents on foot with your sword.
In the arenas you can find a variety of items that will be of use to you in battle, such as mines, shields, firearms and grenades. Between games you can buy new equipment with the money you’ve collected.
Are you now in the mood for Astro Duel 2 or are you one of the game fans mentioned at the beginning who, despite all their love, simply can’t do anything with retro pixel optics? Or is there something completely different about the game that bothers you? If so, what is it? If you could name a dream title, which Epic free game would you want? Feel free to write it to us in the comments!
