Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, but how long will it take to complete the story? We had the beginnings of a reaction.
The year 2024 is already full of big releases and it’s only March. We immediately think of FF7 Rebirth, but soon we can start with Dragon’s Dogma 2, the long-awaited sequel to Capcom’s famous RPG. A long adventure is brewing and we can’t wait to put our heart and soul into it. And on that topic: How long will it take us to finish the game? And more specifically, the main plot?
Dragon’s Dogma 2, a similar lifespan to the first work?
We have, so to speak, got the answer to this question. In fact, the game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, recently spoke to Game Informer. In particular, he explained that Dragon’s Dogma 2’s story will be about the same length as its predecessor, but not for everyone. To quote his words: “For players who only focus on what needs to be done to complete the story, it won’t change drastically compared to the first work.”
Looking at the records, we see that the Dragon’s Dogma campaign lasts about 37 hours on average. We’re talking about the main story and not other activities like side quests. After that, it is merely an indicator and in no way means that it is exactly the time you need to overcome it. The same applies to the following. Itsuno himself remembers this: “There are a lot of things that could get players’ attention, and those people are likely to find that their playing time is much longer.”.
