That GTA 6 or at least some upcoming part of the Grand Theft Auto series is happening in London is not too likely: Already in 2013, rock star co-founder Dan Houser excluded an English setting for the franchise in an interview with TheGuardian. For him, GTA is synonymous with America – and vice versa.
At that time, Houser did not explicitly rule out that Rockstar Games could develop a game with a London setting, but then it would, according to him not a GTA title.
