“Alien: Romulus” is the latest installment in the well-known science fiction horror series. In the new trailer, the young space colonizers try to escape the aliens by any means necessary.
The well-known film series with action star Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Louise Ripley began in 1979 with the classic “Alien – The eerie creature from a strange world”. This was followed by “Aliens: The Return” in 1986, directed by James Cameron (“Avatar” series).
Now “Alien: Romulus” will be about the events between the two films. The new trailer already gives a first impression of this delicate mission. After “Alien: Covenant” from 2017, “Alien: Romulus” is the seventh feature film in the Alien franchise.

“Alien: Romulus” is directed by Fede Álvarez and star director Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”) is involved in the production of the film. The main roles are Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun “) and Aileen Wu.
An alien rarely comes alone
“Alien: Romulus” seems like a worthy successor to the previous “Alien” parts, which achieved great success under star directors like Ridley Scott and James Cameron in the 70s and 80s. The mood of the science fiction horror film is dark and leaves the imagination running wild. Anyone who has liked the previous films in the franchise will certainly be able to expect impressive images from this part and will certainly have a lot of fun.
