How to Access App History in the iOS App Store
As we already said in the introduction, this feature is not really new as such, since it has been present in the iPhone operating system for many years. What happens is that since iOS 17.4 it is much more complete, being able to distinguish those that have been paid and those that have been downloaded for free, including subscriptions. The steps to follow to do this are very simple:
- Open “App Store” on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile photo (top right).
- Go to the “Purchase History” section.
- Allows you to be recognized using Face ID or Touch ID (or iPhone passcode).
- Click the text that appears in blue next to “View.”
- Set the desired search filters, then click “Apply”.
Once this is done, you will be able to locate the applications based on the filters applied, being able to modify them at any time following the same steps. What you will find will be the following:
- Period: You can filter between last 30 days, last 90 days, this year, last year or set a custom time period.
- Cost: You can filter free or paid apps, as well as view both.
- Type: Filter different styles of apps, including those with in-app purchases, subscriptions, music, videos, books, AppleCare+ and others.
- Member of the family: You can see not only your own downloads, but also those of other members of the Apple family group, being able to highlight several or even all of them.
By configuring these filters you will be able to locate any application already installed on your iPhone. It will even be a good way to browse and see what tools other family members are using, because it never hurts to discover new apps.
