A harsh fire heats things up in a scorched earth update

Monster Hunter-style collaborative action game Dauntless has just undergone a major update.

The free Scorched Earth content update was released this week, bringing new upgraded game modes, boss battles, weapons and monster types.

The update is centered on flame upgrades and kicks off on tropical (albeit volcanic) islands, where you will find new fire-based beasts to be destroyed. Also introduced here is a new big boss called Torgadoro-a gorilla made of lava-described as a huge, clumsy, and particularly difficult behemoth that he can use the environment to his advantage.

At the end of the Blaze Escalation upgrade, you will get a legendary set of weapon maps that will allow players to use the newly crafted items. Finally, a new hunting pass-called the Searing Claws-has been added to the game. This can provide a lot of gear in all 50 elite tracks of the game.

Dauntless is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and Epic Games Store, and has cross-play capabilities between all three platforms.
