July, production, starts

The remake of Max Payne 1 and 2 will begin full production before July this year.

After the success of Alan Wake 2, the studio is turning its attention to the combined remake of Max Payne 1&2. According to a financial statement from CEO Tero Virtala, the remake project is expected to move into full production before July. It has been in the pre-production phase for a few months now.

The budget is comparable to that of Alan Wake 2, according to reports between 50 and 70 million dollars should have cost. In contrast to Alan Wake 2, which was completely financed by Epic Games, Rockstar is now covering the entire development costs.

Control 2 is also at least in the starting blocks and is currently still in the concept phase. The live service multiplayer spin-off for Control, codenamed Condor, is also being developed in parallel and is currently in the same development stage as the upcoming Max Payne 1&2 remake.

A trademark filing earlier this year suggests that Codename Condor’s official title will probably be FBC: Firebreak. As soon as there is news from Remedy Entertainment, you will of course find out about it on XboxDynasty.de.
