Overview of the new Disney+ series for April 2024
Walt Disney Animation Studios has partnered with Kugali, a pan-African entertainment company, for the miniseries Iwájú, launching exclusively on Disney+ on April 3, 2024. The story centers around Tola, a wealthy young girl, and her best friend Kole, a genius expert in new technologies, who will be amazed when they learn some hidden secrets of the circles they each belong to. A limited miniseries with only six episodes set in futuristic Lagos. For the director, it’s all about paying homage to African stories with this animated love letter, which looks very promising visually.
