If everything you’ve heard about Cyberpunk 2077 over the years has made you unsure about it, an upcoming free trial will allow you to give it a try without financial regret.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to play Cyberpunk, that’s understandable. We all know how poorly it launched, and we don’t need to discuss that here, but it also released over three years ago, which means there’s been a whole bunch of other great games since then. So even if you want to give it a try, maybe you won’t be able to justify the purchase (in an eventful year like 2023, I totally understand that, but also just because of how expensive games are right now). Well, if you can get away from Dragon’s Dogma 2 this weekend, CD Projekt Red is offering a free trial with no strings attached.

The route will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and offer up to 5 hours of gameplay. You don’t need a subscription of any kind either, so don’t worry if you’re not a PlayStation Plus or Game Pass subscriber, it’s available to everyone. However, it didn’t last that long. You can start the demo on Thursday, March 28th at 8am PT/3pm GMT, and it will run until March 31st at 11:59pm PT/April 1 7:59am (BST) on Sunday (our clocks change to next Sunday in the EU, in case any Americans are confused by the change in time zone designation).
Five hours is a pretty good amount of time to try out the game, as it should get you through the game’s big intro and see what it’s actually about. Now is also a good time to get into the game, as CD Projekt Red has already finished adding any major content, and any future updates will just be a few minor tweaks here and there.
