There is a lockdown in France due to a pandemic. The author Vincent has moved from the city to the country, where he is working on his new book. But as soon as he arrives, he is plagued by strange dreams that urge him to solve the mystery surrounding the village.
So when he visits an old castle, he finds out that he can switch back and forth between day and night. Suddenly he is pursued by a cruel monster, the Nightwatcher.
Will he find out in time who or what the Nightwatcher is and what the strange messages he finds everywhere mean?
