AOC’s new OLED monitor is for big games and work

The latest manufacturer to jump on the bandwagon is AOC, a manufacturer that introduced the 44.5-inch monitor with OLED technology designed specifically for game thanks to its high refresh rate and ultra-wide format. We are talking about the Agon Pro AG456UCZD model

AOC Agon Pro AG456UCZD 44.5-inch Gaming Monitor

This monitor stands out not only for its 44.5 inches, which is more of a television than a monitor, but also for its OLED panel, the 240Hz refresh rate which offers in the format ultra-panoramic and for the 800R curvature to increase the feeling of immersion in video games. This format represents an important novelty on the market, a market where the majority of ultra-panoramic panels do not exceed 165 Hz.

Being a panel focused on the gaming world, this template is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync from NVIDIA. Considering the basic specifications of this monitor and its size, enjoying our favorite games with this model should be a real pleasure thanks to the response time of only 0.03 ms.

44-inch AOC OLED monitor

The new AOC monitor offers us a resolution of 3440×1440 on a 44.5 inch panel, with 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, so it is also a great monitor for working on video and image editing. Although it is true that on the market we can find monitors with higher resolution and the same OLED technology, they are not perfect for gaming since the refresh rate is limited to a maximum of 120 Hz.

In terms of connectivity options, this model includes two ports HDMI 2.1a port DisplayPort 1.4 and a port USB-C to connect it to any laptop and charge the equipment while in use. Additionally, on one side it also includes 4 USB Type A ports.

Not everything is perfect on this monitor, since it only supports HDR10 and not for DisplayHDR 400, a detail that particularly attracts attention since, based on its maximum brightness of 1000 nits, it should be included.

With such a resolution and refresh rate, it is clear that we will not be able to enjoy both features if we do not have a graphics card at least compatible with FSR3 or DLSS 3 technology, therefore, if our equipment does not is not. low range, we will never be able to get the most out of all its features.

Pricing and availability

AOC has just presented this new model, a model of which, for the moment, we only know its price in dollars, a price which goes up to $1,399 and to which it will be necessary to add the corresponding taxes of each country when it is available in Europe, an availability which, according to the manufacturer, will be within a few weeks.
