After a last-minute delay on Switch, publisher Ziggurat is now ready to release Slave Zero X into the world, and we can exclusively reveal that it’s scheduled for launch April 11, 2024.
Better late than never, of course, and hopefully the delay means the game can look and run as well as possible on Nintendo’s console. To give you an idea of what to expect, Ziggurat has shared some Switch-specific screenshots, and we have to say, it looks pretty tasty indeed.
As a reminder of what the game is about, here’s a look at the official synopsis via Steam page:
“From atop megacity S1-9, Sovereign Khan rules with fists of iron and flesh. Beneath the city’s rotting foundations, a vengeful warrior sets out on a journey to kill him. 4 years before the events of Slave Zero, Slave Zero X brings new life to a world where they are horrible , living machines known as Slaves primed to become the latest tools of war in humanity’s long and bloody history.
“A secret group of warriors known as The Guardians hope to prevent these biomechs from being released into the world, but one swordsman in their ranks has a different idea: use the enemy’s own weapons against them. By merging with a stolen prototype slave unit, Shou will become a raging fiend on a quest to kill a false God.”
Slave Zero X also has voice talent Elizabeth Maxwellwhich previously appeared in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Persona 5 Royal and Fire Emblem: Engage.
