Rain World, known for its gorgeous visuals and brutal difficulty, is about to get another major expansion to follow last year’s Heavy rain DLC.
Synchronized ‘The Observer’it’s only confirmed for Steam at the time of writing, but we’re pretty sure it’ll also make its way to Nintendo’s console at some point down the line.
The trailer doesn’t give us much detail at this stage in terms of exactly what the expansion will include, but Akupara Games has provided a pretty tantalizing teaser that should hopefully give you an idea of what to expect:
A journey beyond something, somewhere you’ve only glimpsed. When the world cracks and crumbles beneath your feet, will you hold on to everything you once knew? Or plunge into the unknown?
The wilds that await will be unlike anything that has come before.
Unknown creatures lurk, climb, dive and hunt. New breeds tear and pluck, dig and hide. Predator and prey redefined. And in the middle of it all, a lonely, lost cat who is trying with all his might to survive the destruction of a perverted world.
It all sounds pretty intriguing, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any further updates, including the expansion’s release date, in the coming weeks and months.
