Former PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has provided an update on sales of the best-selling video game console, the PlayStation 2, which was released in 2000. Speaking on a new episode of the PlayStation podcast dedicated to him, Ryan says the popular console has shifted 160 million units since launch. That’s the platform Nintendo aims to beat with the Nintendo Switch family of systems, which has sold 139.36 million units worldwide by December 31, 2023.
