There are many occasions when It may be difficult to know some notifications that reach your cell phone, especially if you are in a noisy environment where it is difficult to hear. In Europe, many people use a smart watch or activity bracelet to know these notifications, but there are other methods to know this without the need for an external device.
And Android has a notification system that focuses on the visual section and allows you to modify the behavior of the mobile so that it does things like illuminate the screen or camera flash every time we arrive. This way, no method is used that makes more noise than necessary, as this can be annoying at night. Additionally, it can also help people with hearing loss to be more aware of their cell phone alerts.
Each of these options is different, but both can be very useful for knowing all the notifications that come to the device. If you usually have your cell phone at hand, with the screen in sight and looking up, it is worth betting on the lighting of this element. On the other hand, if you are one of those who usually leave their cell phone face down on the table, flash lighting will make notifications difficult to ignore.
Turn on the screen
Sound notifications let anyone know about notifications that are coming while they are doing another task and the device is not nearby. However, activating the screen every time a new message or notice arrives can be just as useful when the device is nearby.. Using this method, you can leave your cell phone silent on the table while you work. or while you are resting at home, and if you notice that the panel has lit up, it means that a notification has arrived.
When this happens, one good thing is that you can see the entire message (or part of it if notification privacy is enabled) directly on the lock screen which appears just as the notification arrives. If the device is not touched, the panel will turn off again after a few secondsso it doesn’t consume extra battery.
To activate this function you must go in the Screen section, in Settings, and once there, click on Lock screen and enable the Enable screen for notifications option. This feature alerts the user in this way only if the device screen is turned off. If enabled, it doesn’t change anything.
People who always carry their cell phone in silent mode may find it very useful, since it is something that stands out a little at first glance. In addition, it complements perfectly with other options available on Android to make notifications more visible, such as drop-down lists or launcher dots.
Enable flash
This option is available on many Android phones, including the Google Pixel, although for brands with their own customization layer like Xiaomi, this option focuses on incoming calls, instead of in all notifications. However, it is an excellent option so as not to miss anything.
It works essentially the same as the previous option, except that instead of activating the screen, the camera’s LED flash will start blinking. It is a slightly more intrusive and noticeable warning, but this ensures that the user will realize that they have something waiting to view on their mobile. This option is ideal for people who usually leave their cell phone face down on the table.
In this case the option is also found in Settings, only in this case you will have to go to the Notifications section. Once there, all you have to do is access the Flash Notifications option and enable the Camera Flash option. It is possible to access a preview in which you can see how it will light up when a notification arrives.
The Screen Flash option that also appears in this section is similar to the previous one. However, in this case it is not used to turn on the mobile phone with notifications, but rather so that, while it is on, a flash occurs color that alerts the user.
