final fantasy 14 It’s finally coming to Xbox, but it seems some players have been banned for some strange reasons.
Like many MMOs, Final Fantasy 14 has a guild system called Free Companies, which are essentially player-run groups where you can pool resources to complete tasks that would be difficult for you to complete. Players will regularly try to recruit others into their free company, since of course you want as many people as possible working towards a common goal. In addition to this, it appears that some players have been banned for advertising their free companies on Xbox, but no one is entirely sure why.
If anyone can help!

As spotted by TheGamer, a user on the Final Fantasy XIV subreddit shared that they were banned while trying to ask for help. Related user TGB_B20kEn wrote: “I’m an Xbox player here and I just got banned from Xbox because they thought ‘Free Company’ was soliciting them for group posts.” “I appealed and was denied, I don’t Know what else to do. All I did was use the right name.” Another user below the post noted that one of their friends was also banned for listing their recruiting code, resulting in a two-day ban.

TGB_B20kEn later explained in the post that they were given the explanation that their “account violated community standards and was subject to enforcement action,” but did not have further details. The ban will apparently last for 61 days and prohibit them from communicating with other people, although they can still at least play the MMO.
It’s unclear if this is a widespread issue, but if you’re a player who likes to share your free company, perhaps this can be a public service announcement and postponed until the issue is resolved.
After a long wait, Final Fantasy XIV launched on Xbox last week, and it couldn’t have come at a better time, as the game’s next expansion, Dawntrail, is also set to release in July, just a few short months away.
