It’s almost April. Where does the time go? Whether this year is flying by or flying by for you, we’re looking forward to another four weeks of new game releases. April comes with a number of well-known releases on new platforms, some interesting new exclusives and the video game adaptation of the late Akira Toriyama one-volume manga, Sandland.

So let’s take a look at what games you can look forward to in the next 30 days.
Dave the diver – Sometime in April

Indie darling (or is it?) Dave the diver is coming to PlayStation this month with versions for PS4 and PS5. In our review of Dave the diveris the original publication, My city Contributor John Walker said:
Dave the diver It absolutely deserved the enormous success it achieved in its first month, selling over a million copies and hopefully making developers Mintrocket enormously rich. They’ve created something very special, an RPG-meets-Diner Dash– meets the gentle SCUBA Sim who manages to feel completely overcrowded with things to do and still enjoy playing.
Planetile – 3rd of April

Planetile describes himself as “a quiet city builder with roguelike elements.” They are not only responsible for building cities on a planet, but also shaping its ecosystem with biomes and natural habitats.
Freedom Planet 2 – 4. April
Published on: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Windows
Featuring fast-paced side-scrolling action and adorable retro-inspired pixel art. Freedom Planet 2 features four unique characters, a large world map to explore and a special boss battle arena.
Children of the Sun – 9th April

Children of the Sun casts her as THE GIRL, a woman on a mission to take down THE CULT. The gameplay, described as “tactical sniper shooting, puzzle-solving and light stealth,” tasks you with taking pinpoint shots with a too-cool-looking bullet camera that follows a single bullet that you must guide to take down each member of the Opposition.
Turbo kid – 10th of April

A BMX-style Metroidvania with hack’n’slash gameplay set in a retro-inspired pixel art world. Turbo kid is a video game sequel to the 2015 film of the same name.
Loretta – 11 April
Published on: PS5
Psychological thriller Loretta is coming to PlayStation this month. Following the story of a woman burdened with an unfaithful husband and the challenges of 1940s society, Loretta draws inspiration from greats like Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King in its branching narrative story and leaves the fate of the title character up to you.
Harold Halibut – April 16

Harold Halibut takes place in a huge spaceship sunk in the ocean on an alien planet. With stop-motion animations and narrative gameplay. Harold Halibut looks like an immersive interactive claymation experience.
Grounded – April 16

Grounded is coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch this month. With his Honey, I shrunk the kids-inspired gameplay, Grounded offers first-person multiplayer action in an open world of large yet tiny proportions.
Planet of Lana – April 16

Following the exclusivity period on Xbox, Planet of Lana is finally coming to Switch and PlayStation. This side-scrolling puzzle game tells the story of Lana as she navigates a strange and hostile alien world.
Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide (DLC) – April 18th

Final Fantasy XVIis the next and final DLC, The coming flood, arrives this month. Focuses on Leviathan, an Eikon that did not appear in the main game. The coming flood will take you to a new place that, fortunately, is not plagued by problems the gray sky
No rest for the wicked – April 18th

Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes – April 23rd

I hope you like games with lots of characters because Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes has a lot of it. With more than 100 playable characters, this spiritual successor to the Suikoden The series features turn-based RPG combat, 2.5D graphics, retro-inspired graphics and mini-games.
Tales of Kenzera: Broad – April 25th

A single player Metroidvania game, Tales of Kenzera features side-scrolling action and a heart touching story set in a beautiful Afrofuturist inspired world.
Megaton Musashi W: Wired – April 25th

Megaton Musashi W: Wired combines massive mech combat action with RPG mechanics and hack-and-slash gameplay. You can customize your ‘Mech and choose between different types of melee and ranged weapons to take on the fight against an alien force that has almost wiped out humanity.
Another crab’s treasure – April 25th

If you like soulslikes but have always felt like there weren’t enough creepy crawlies in the genre, this is the case Another crab’s treasure could be exactly what you are looking for. You take on the role of Kril, a hermit crab equipped with weapons and armor to defend himself against all kinds of threats on the ocean floor.
SaGa Emerald Beyond – April 25th

Sandland – 26th of April

An adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s manga originally published in the 2000s, Sandland is an open-world action role-playing game that puts players in the role of Beelzebub as he and his companions attempt to take on enemy forces.
Starblade– 26th of April

Starblade takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity has been nearly wiped out by strange, malevolent creatures. Players take on the role of Airborne Squad member Eve in fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay coupled with ranged attacks.
Braid: Anniversary Edition – April, 30th

Originally published 16 years ago, Braid: Anniversary Edition brings the time-bending platforming and puzzle-solving action of this classic indie title to modern consoles. In addition to 35 new levels, Braid: Anniversary Edition It also features developer commentary and completely redesigned environments to ensure the game looks great on 4K screens.
Sea of Thieves – April, 30th

Another Xbox exclusive is coming to PlayStation with developer Rare (see what I did there?). Sea of Thieves. If you are new to this pirate simulation, Sea of Thieves is a first-person open-world multiplayer game in which you can team up with friends to search for treasure, participate in ship battles and explore what else the open waters have in store for you.
