After a rather disappointing Alone in the Dark, fans of the genre should soon be comforted with this remake. The game received a rating in South Korea in early March. Such a move by these organizations is usually tantamount to an imminent exit. Konami and Bloober Team should therefore confirm the release date of Silent Hill 2 Remake for PC and PS5 very soon.
A remake that everyone agrees on?
At the first State of Play of the year, fans were able to gain an insight into the gameplay of Silent Hill 2 Remake. This one focused on fighting. A decision that wasn’t really to everyone’s taste. The president of Bloober Team, Piotr Babiendo, was one of them. In an interview with the Polish branch of Eurogamer, he stated that this trailer “ didn’t reflect the spirit of the game as the studio conceived it “. The mistake apparently lay with Konami’s marketing.
If the original Silent Hill 2 was so impressive, it was mainly because of its terribly depressing atmosphere. Its story, both romantic and tragic, also had a huge impact on players. This was certainly not the case for the “action” component. The visibly imminent announcement of the remake’s release date may be an opportunity for Bloober Team and Konami to… rectify the situation and reassure fans.
