God of War Kratos

Good news for fans of the God of War saga. The portal Comic book reports that the publisher Dark Horse Comics to release God of War: Fallen God starting June 2020. It is a series of comics based on the Kratos universe, focused on expanding the story of the saga. Specifically, Fallen God will be placed between God of War III and the God of War on PlayStation 4.

God of War: Fallen God will be written by Chris Roberson (iZombie, God of War), drawn by the artist Tony Parker (God of War, This Damned Band), colored by Dan jackson (The Strain, The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) and with a script by John Roshell (Overwatch Anthology, Astro City). The first advance of these comics has come through a cover drawn by Dave Rapoza.

God of War: Fallen God will tell the story of Kratos after defeating Zeus and thwarting Athena. Believing that he will finally be free from his bondage, the God of War will set sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame, though he will not part with anger and guilt, so he will rage against the only enemy that has proven invincible: himself.

The first issue of God of War: Fallen God will be published in North America on June 24, while in Spain it is unknown if a translated edition will be released. It has also not been confirmed if this story will be canon for the saga, something possible after Cory Barlog, director of the saga, mentioned wanting to explore the story of how Katos met Faye and the many questions that arose as the God of story began.
