Not all smartwatches are this smart. For example, my Amazfit smartwatch (a GTR 3) is not as complete as a watch with Wear OS, but in exchange I only have to charge it once a week. There are few applications available, of course, but with one of them I succeeded make my watch very smart.

Can you imagine being able to ask your watch for all the secrets of the universe? This is what I’ve been having fun with lately, thanks to an app that does what seemed impossible: have ChatGPT on a normal Amazfit watch and current.
This is not an official OpenAI application, but was created by a third-party developer. If, like me, you want to increase the intelligence of your Amazfit smartwatch, you can also install it with the Zepp application, in the App Store of your device. It’s called AI Chat.
AI Chat has no configuration on mobile and uses the official ChatGPT API to answer your questions. This means that you must have the smartwatch connected to the mobile for the invention to work, since your mobile phone will take care of sending the request to OpenAI and displaying it on your watch. This is why you should consider that everything you ask your smartwatch will end up on OpenAI servers. AI Chat is currently based on ChatGPT 3.5.
Where there is settings are on the smartwatch itselfand it is very important to go through them before inquiring, because this is where you will choose the keyboard type and language.
As standard, AI Chat uses a T4 keyboard that groups several keys into groups, making typing easier, although in exchange you’ll have to double-tap most letters. Traditional T9 keyboard is also available or the full keyboard.
Personally, I opted for the latter solution, even if in exchange I must have a inhuman precision to press a key and not the one next to it, even though it’s sort of part of the experience. Plus, you can always delete and try again.
When you manage to write your question, press Submit to access the ChatGPT API and return to the screen, where the answer will be displayed. These are the same answers you would get if you used the official ChatGPT app, although obviously are limited to text only.
The best of all is that It doesn’t take long for the answer to arrivealthough in the background it must be sent to your mobile, from your mobile to the OpenAI servers and the response in the reverse path until it reaches your smartwatch.
At this point there is no need to mention how magical ChatGPT is, so with this app you can clear doubts on virtually any subject just with your Amazfit and have your phone close enough to maintain connection . It is convenient ? No, is it cool? Yeah.
