Invincible This week saw the Season 2 finale, although it didn’t quite live up to the comic’s effect spiderman Cameo, a parody version of the show is now a playable mod.
Both the comic and show version of “Invincible” contain spoilers.
Fans were eagerly awaiting the Invincibles season 2 finale earlier this week, and not just because they were excited to see the events of the comics unfold on screen. In the original comics, there’s a scene where Mark Grayson, Invincible himself, warps from one universe to another while fighting the villain Angstrom, and in one particular panel you can see Spider-Man’s arm , which is a fun little nod to the character. Previous Spider-Man voice actor Josh Keaton even teased that he’d be appearing in Invincible , so fans are wondering if he’ll be reprising the role for a cameo. But it turns out that he was actually playing a Spider-Man agent, a character who was definitely not Spider-Man.

Considering it would have been a copyright nightmare (even if t hey did have an official tie-in comic later), it’s not surprising that the real Spider-Man didn’t appear, but it’s surprising that he did so soon after Spider-Man’s release. After the show aired, a mod was created for Insomniac’s Spider-Man that allowed you to wear the Spider-Man suit. The mod was made by modder reza825, who appears to have made several Spider-Man suit mods in the past. What’s most surprising is how quickly the mod was created, as it was released just one day after the episode aired. So, even if Invincible can’t introduce Spider-Man, at least Spider-Man can introduce Invincible.
Most fans of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games are currently waiting for more information about its upcoming Wolverine game – which, yes, is set in the same universe as Spider-Man.
