Hellblade: A Journey of the Mind will be a special event that explores the mental health of Senua, the game’s protagonist.

The first part of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice He decided to tell us the story of a warrior Celtic and her quest to save her beloved’s soul. A search that is both physical and mental, where the exploration of Senua’s experiences with the psychosis.

Thus, during the development of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, the team knew it was essential to fully understand what psychosis is before attempting to describe it. To understand this mental illness and what it can mean to experience it, the study began working closely with experts through research and lived experience.

In the field of ndollarscience, Professor Paul Fletcher, from the University of Cambridge, has worked closely with the team for over ten years. Concerning the lived experience, Ninja theory has teamed up with the RCE Wellbeing Hub (formerly Recovery College East) to hear directly from people about the impact that psychosis and the stigma it brings can have on people’s lives.

Thanks to The Saga of Senua: Hellblade II, we explore the next chapter in Senua’s life and the next step in her mental health journey. Although she has come to accept the voices she hears and the way she perceives the world, she is no longer alone in her search.

In Iceland, you will meet people with their own belief systems, who may come to view your unique perspective as a beacon of hope, while others will reject it. We’ll also get to learn first-hand how the Ninja Theory team applied this knowledge to the game.

The event will take place here in Cambridge and you can follow it live at 3:00 p.m. CET / 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday, April 9 on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
