Fans of management and strategy games of all kinds can celebrate, because Frostpunk 2 will soon be playable, albeit subject to certain conditions.
Of course, among the most anticipated management games we can name Frostpunk 2. After the success of the first episode, a sequel had to come out one day, and indeed it is well on its way. So that everyone can form their own opinion, the developers are announcing a very nice surprise for the community. Better than a simple demo!
Frostpunk 2 will be playable soon
The long-awaited sequel to the icy universe of Frostpunk is just around the corner, with the announcement of a beta phase available from April 15th for players who have chosen to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition. This new version promises a renewed immersion in the unforgiving vastness of the Frostlands, where humanity’s survival now collides with its quest for power.
Developed by 11 Bit Studios, Frostpunk 2 takes players on a journey thirty years after the cataclysmic events of the first game. Human society, narrowly escaping extinction, has adapted to a precarious existence, trading dependence on coal for a new era fueled by oil. However, this energy transition is not without consequences: it increases internal tensions and competition for vital resources in a metropolis that is still eager to expand.
Open from April 15 to 22, the beta invites players to explore a preview of Utopia Builder mode, a sandbox playground where every decision weighs heavily on the future of the city. According to the creators, this testing phase offers a taste of the challenges and moral dilemmas that must be resolved in the search for a precarious harmony between technical progress and the preservation of humanity. In the meantime, if you want another opinion, you can check out our preview on the topic. The game is quite ambitious and goes far beyond a simple Frostpunk 1.5.
