“The whispers“, one of the best missions in Destiny history, is finally back Destiny 2 as part of Into the Light after a break of several years. It includes a fully craftable version of the exotic Whisper of the Worm sniper rifle.
In this Destiny 2 Guide, we’ll walk you through it how to complete The Whisper and grab the pattern for Whisper of the Worm. Whether this is your first time venturing into The Whisper or it’s just been too long for you to remember which path to take, we’ve got you covered.
How to start The Whisper in Destiny 2
Having The Whisper back is great. But what’s even better is that Bungie has optimized the way you actually start the quest. Gone are the days of having to watch public events on Io (a planet that is unfortunately still missing from the game). Now all you have to do is do it Talk to Eris to get started.
Fly to the moon and talk to her. She will give you the “Whispers of the past“Search. From there, all you have to do is open the “Into the Light” menu in the Director and select “The Whisper.”
Completing the Exotic Mission will give you the pattern for Whisper of the Worm.
The Whisper walkthrough in Destiny 2
When you load The Whisper, you’ll find yourself at the end of the old one Lost sector in Ulan-Tan Grove. You’ll quickly notice that you have a 40 minute timer to start (20 minutes if you’re in Legend Mode). When that timer runs out, you and your fireteam will return the boot to orbit and you’ll have to start over.
Walk forward and look straight ahead. In the distance you will see a small Vex cube. Shoot it to create some platforms. Follow the path to a Taken Plague. Destroy it and then drop it into the hole.
Follow the path forward, crouching to get through the smaller areas. Eventually you find yourself in a huge room. Stay on the right and at the red lights. Jump down the wall and watch out for the pinball levers extending to your right. Follow the red lights across the room’s platforms until you reach the middle block.
There is no clear exit from here. Walk forward, past the glowing cracks and towards the left wall of the room – which should be directly in front of you when you land. That’s what you’re going to have to do jump around the corner here, on your right.
Crouch and make your way through the gap and wait for the blocks to move back into the wall. Be patient here and don’t rush. Keep in mind that for internet reasons, your bumpers may move differently than those of your other fireteam members. Take each block one at a time until you reach the other side.
Look to the left for the blocks and jump across the ravine to the rock wall with the balls on it. Follow the path to the right until you reach a small, square elevator. Jump on and ride across the square to the next platform, which should be red and directly in front of you. Run forward along the wall and immediately turn left into the white hallway.
Go through the diamond-shaped room and jump through the diamond hole. Jump onto the ledges in the long room in front of you and wait for the shock explosion to erupt before moving forward. Kill the Taken Vandals while you wait. Jump around the room avoiding the explosions until you reach the wall with the white light. The door opens and closes, so jump into the room in time.
score will begin talking to you about drifting as soon as you enter the portal room. Jump to the right and hug the wall. Ignore all the portals until you reach the end of the right wall. Take the last upper portal and drop down to the room below.
The Green Room, as it is called, can be very complex if you try to take the long route, but there is a hiding place abbreviation Here this can shorten your clear time by several minutes. Turn right and duck into the rubble. Here, between the rocks, you will find a gap. Climb in and look for an opening in the wall (not one of the pits in the floor) that leads to a large cylinder.
Jump onto the edge of the cylinder and walk along the side. You reach what looks like a stepping stone. Look far out and down to see the opening in front of you. Since this is a long jump, you should save your jumping power until you get to the bottom. Once you’ve landed safely, walk forward and duck under the high ceiling.
How to beat Tulgorh, Aspect of Torment in Destiny 2
This is where the fight begins. To continue, you must traverse several rooms and clear them all completely.
Once you reach the boss arena, clear the area and then shoot the Vex cubes to summon the mini-bosses. Kill them to summon the real boss, a large Taken Ogre: Tulgorh, Aspect of Torment. Kill the wizards to lower the boss’s shield, then take it down for good.
Once all four bosses are dead, go to the chest that appears on the edge and you will get the Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle pattern.
Go back to Eris to take the first step in the weekly week.Whispers of the possessed” quest that you must complete to level up your Whisper of the Worm.
