PC Gaming | Updates to the Xbox app on PC
Game Hubs are now available to all PC gamers
Back in February, we announced that our team had begun rolling out Game Hubs to help our PC gamers even better connect with their favorite games.
Today we’re excited to announce that all PC gamers can now enjoy Game Hubs in the Xbox app on PC. Navigate to any game in your library or sidebar to track your progress, discover the latest content and add-ons, connect and compete with your friends, and get the latest developer news.
With this official launch of Game Hubs for all Xbox app players, we’re also bringing back a fan-favorite feature: game recordings. Any game clips or screenshots you’ve taken via Game Bar for a specific game will now appear in the corresponding Game Hub and be saved locally on your PC. You can browse your recordings in the app, copy them to the clipboard for easy sharing, or quickly jump to the file location. Learn more about game recordings Here.
We’re just getting started with Game Hubs and can’t wait to share new improvements with future updates.
New sub-nav menu options for the Xbox app on PC begin rolling out
We’ve begun previewing a new sub-navigation experience in the What’s Happening section of the Game Pass tab in the Xbox app on PC for a subset of gamers and for all Xbox Insiders. To learn more about the changes you may see when you access the Xbox app on PC, click Here.
Updates to the Xbox console experience
The Xbox April console update begins rolling out
Starting today, the Xbox April Update will be available on all consoles.
If you use Discord Voice on your console, you can now hear soundboard audio from others in the channel or call. If you don’t want to hear these sounds, you can find a soundboard audio mute button in the Discord voice options: Open the instructions and go to Options > Muting the soundboard.
Do you save your favorite gaming moments as game recordings? If you use OneDrive to back up your game recordings and clips, you’ll now receive a notification on your console when you upload a game recording, letting you know when you’re running low on storage space.
We’ve also added new controls to your consoles that allow you to block whether users can install or uninstall games and apps on your device. You can enable access restrictions with a “Guest PIN” and disable these new controls when a game or app is installed or uninstalled. Your guest will be asked to enter the “Guest PIN” to complete the activity. To view and customize the new options, navigate to Settings
