Xiaomi has announced the latest addition to its Turbo line of smartphones and the Redmi Turbo 3 looks great in various technical aspects, but it’s the Harry Potter limited edition that is the most interesting.
This version of the device features a special design with a striking blue and gold back cover. In addition to the Hogwarts crest front and center, as well as “Harry Potter” underneath, there are more subtle details.
Eagle-eyed fans will notice that the camera flash has a lightning bolt design with a wish in the background and the word “Lumos” next to it. The purple section on the back also features artwork depicting horcruxes, including Rowena Ravenclaw’s diadem and Nagini the serpent.
Fans who purchase the Turbo 3 Harry Potter Limited Edition will also receive a presentation box containing extras such as a Hogwarts school badge, protective case, personalized charger and a classic university theme.
It’s sure to be a hit with fans of the global phenomenon and you can buy it now on Giztop for $499 with worldwide shipping.
If you’re interested in more than just the design (it’s also available in black, green, and titanium), then the Turbo 3 is one of the first phones to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets.
With a focus on performance, the Turbo range sits between Xiaomi’s Redmi K and Redmi Note series. The Turbo 3 also features a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and 90W fast charging – the latter matching the flagship Xiaomi 14.
You can select different memory and storage combinations with 12 or 16 GB RAM and 256/512 GB/1 TB storage. Prices range from CNY1,999 (£220/$276) to CNY2,799 (£308/$386).
It’s available in China starting April 15 from Xiaomi and is expected to launch globally as the Poco F6, but whether that includes the Harry Potter edition remains to be seen.
This is not the first time that Xiaomi has collaborated with Warner Bros on a special Harry Potter device like the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition launched last year.
And if the Turbo 3 isn’t enough for you, Xiaomi also revealed a Harry Potter edition of the Redmi Pad Pro.
It has a more simplistic design with a large Hogwarts logo and comes with a personalized cover that resembles the admission letter. In terms of specifications, it has a 12.1-inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, 10,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.
The tablet is priced at CNY2,299 (£253/$317) for an 8/256GB model and goes on sale in China on April 15.
