Baldur’s Gate III rewards again

Baldur’s Gate III is simply a triumph. After winning Game of the Year at the Game Awards last December, Larian Studios’ software was once again crowned success at the twentieth BAFTA Games ceremony organized by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. As part of this ceremony, the title received five awards: best music, best narrative, best performance in a supporting role (Andrew Wincott, Raphael), audience award and finally game of the year. This new achievement places Baldur’s Gate III even further into video game legend.

Baldur’s Gate III is undoubtedly Larian’s biggest success to date, but the Belgian studio certainly did not expect such enthusiasm from either the audience or the critics. The game was a huge commercial success for the studio, but it also accomplished a feat no other game had achieved before: Game of the Year Award at the Golden Joysticks, Game Awards, DICE Awards, Game Developers Choice Awards and the BAFTAs

Now it’s up to Larian to repeat this extraordinary achievement. We already know that the studio will have to give up the Baldur’s Gate license for its next title and we will patiently wait for the teams to recover from their emotions before they can discover their new project. From now on there is no doubt: Larian is an exceptional studio to follow closely.
