What good is Outcast 2’s open world? We introduce a side quest

Explore a pretty open world, follow the nice plot, shoot up loads of robots: chances are that Outcast 2 hasn’t passed you by if you like such aspects of the game.

For average Steam players, Outcast: A New Beginning often remains under the radar. Just 1,100 users at its peak SteamDB.

However, those who dare to go on a single-player excursion will mostly draw a positive conclusion. This also applies to our tester Christian Schwarz, who describes Outcast: A New Beginning as a good sequel to a classic, but still criticizes that some of the virtues of its predecessor are neglected.

Inkbound may look playful, but it’s a tough tactical game

Bright colors and imaginative designs can be used Inkbound belie the hard core. Because behind the colorful facade, which is visually reminiscent of League of Legends, there is a tactically demanding, turn-based strategy game in the guise of a roguelike.

You put together powerful builds and smash your way through ever-stronger hordes of monsters, either as lone wolves or cooperatively with friends and strangers. If you die, you start over from the beginning, but you can keep your overall progress – typical roguelike. And you’ll die a lot, that’s pretty sure.

Known? One of the most unusual roguelikes ever is called Balatro and would be a great poker simulator if cheating was allowed in poker.

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

Genre: Productivity Passive Game | Steam-Release: 8. April 2024 | Preis: 12 Euro

Do you know them? Lofi-Girl-Videos on Youtube? A cartoon character sits in a cozy room and studies while calm, instrumental hip-hop sounds play in the background. This can help with concentrated work.

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is now converting the successful principle into a Steam game. In addition to the music, you can design the calming, charming environment according to your preferences. You also collect cute ghosts.

And productivity tools like alarm clocks and checklists help you stay focused. A game for the background alongside homework, the dissertation or for working in the home office.

Crime Scene Cleaner turns you into a crime scene cleaner for bloody crooks

We pet the dog in the video above – that’s in Crime Scene Cleaner just a part-time job. Mainly you’re cleaning up after the local mafia and that’s a dirty job. You remove corpses, traces of blood, etc. from crime scenes before the police arrive and can collect evidence.

You can already try out the game as a demo version on Steam – the developers call it Prologue. And this generates an extremely positive response with 96 percent positive reviews. The full version is scheduled to appear in the second quarter of 2024.

Minishoot Adventures

Genre: Twin-Stick-Shooter | Steam-Release: 2. April 2024 | Preis: 15 Euro

Ka is a wheelkept there Roland Deschain right. And so old trends inevitably come back to us. Retro games, for example, including the one that fans love Minishoot Adventures counts. Like in the arcade, you control a small spaceship through the area and shoot fireball-spewing enemies into pixel pulp.

In Minishoot Adventures, exploration is also on the agenda, as you travel through a more open game world instead of tube levels. You can also try out a free demo of the game on Steam to find out if it might be right for you.
