Samsung, one of the companies that sells the most cell phones in Europe, has been one of the few brands that has not given the arm to twist and has always kept its graphic interface at the top of Android. The company has made it clear that it does not want to dilute its image with other companies, and it has marked its design line since the presentation of the first Galaxy S.
This allowed it to implement its own functions, among which, for example, the S-Pen of the Galaxy S Ultra stands out. But there are many other things that Samsung has developed specifically for its mobile phones. They are among themselves system gestures.
And no, we are not referring to navigation gestures which can replace virtual buttons on the screen, but other gestures used to perform certain tasks, such as turning on the screen, taking a screenshot of it or even mute a call. It is easy to activate them and can be done independently.
Control gestures
These gestures can be activated one by one in the Settings. To do this, you need to go to the Mobile Settings section and search there Advanced Features. In this section there is another call Movements and gestures this is what gives access to the six control gestures.
The first is Lift to activate, allowing the mobile screen to light up when picked up. This is especially useful if face unlock is active, because then you don’t need to press the power button for recognition to begin. The second is a different way to turn on the screen, by double-tapping in an empty area of the desktop or on the lock screen. The same can be done for turn off the screen by activating the third setting.
The fourth gesture is that Activates a vibration on the mobile when it is picked up and there is a missed call or an unread SMS that escaped us. This way the device itself warns even if it has not been unlocked. It is also possible control incoming calls to silence them simply by turning your phone face down if it is face up on the table, or if we pass our hand in front of it, the sensors detect that we have made this gesture.
Finally, there is the gThis screenshot. It is done by passing the edge of the hand, vertically, from one side to the other. This is the one with the most problems and sometimes it’s not done well, but when you get the hang of it, it’s an easy way to take a screenshot.
