Despite being the operating systems that have received the most updates, Windows 10 and Windows 11 are by no means bug-free. In fact, having distributed them as “live” software makes them more vulnerable because with a higher update rate, some errors tend to persist and overlap with others.
And two of these errors are 0x8007000d and 0x800705b9 respectively. Both are from a specific update, for Windows 11 and KB5036892 for Windows 10. You probably don’t remember them because of that name, but These were the versions before Moment 5which made many users want to update.
Issues with update KB5036893 are causing unrest in the Windows user community
These errors cause extreme operating system slowness or black screens of death. As you see, it’s not just anything. Those at Redmond tried to fix these errors by releasing build KB5035942 for Windows 11, but they failed to completely resolve the issues and errors 0x8007000d and 0x800705b9 continued to occur.
Last Tuesday, the American company released a new update without much hype, it launched it in its update series which usually releases KB5036893 on Tuesdays. However, it seems that not only does this not fix the errors, but it generates new problems like the inability to uninstall Microsoft Edge, Copilot or Bing. Some users may also experience update issuesprogress remains stalled.
I keep getting “Installation Error – 0x800705b9” no matter how many times I try again. I tried to manually install the update through the Microsoft catalog and I tried to do a repair install using a Windows 11 .iso file and they both give me messages “Windows installation failed” error.
The problems even reach Microsoft 365, among other services. If you are suffering from this, I’m sorry to tell you that you will have to wait until next Tuesday to see if, hopefully, Microsoft releases a new version to fix this problem. Those in Redmond have not commented on the matter.
