CX Podcast 11×32 – Preserving video games on Xbox

Only good news in this week’s podcast, whether it’s software or company movements with good expectations

The podcast always gives us good times, and even if there’s no big analysis to latch onto, there’s always news and movements that excite us. Without going any further, last week we received a pleasant surprise with the latest trailer for Star Wars: Outlaws, game that fans of the saga will wait for with open arms… and a full wallet. And not everyone can afford the most complete edition of the title. Fortunately, there are services like Ubisoft+ that make up for this price. Well, something similar happens with Diablo IVwhich has seen a fairly significant increase since it became available on the Xbox Game Pass service.

And while it is great to have these services to be able to enjoy a wide range of proposals, it is also important to look to the past so as not to forget those games that marked us in the past. The preservation of video games is a hot topic that is causing more and more concern, and Microsoft for this reason wants to promote an initiative where we can save those treasures that have given us hours of pleasure at some point in our lives. For the moment, with their backwards compatible games they have more than succeeded, but we will see what happens in a few years and how they will favor the promotion of the classic gems of the catalog.
