It was officially announced in the New York Times that Netflix no longer wants to produce blockbusters with so-called “big talent” like Red Notice. They want to concentrate on cheaper feature films that are released less often but are of better quality.

This is “Aurora,” the adaptation of David Koepp’s SF novel that would mark the return of director Kathryn Bigelow (Minesweepers, Point Break) after a seven-year absence. While the old system of regular blockbusters seemed to work well, Netflix is going in a different direction. Many Internet users did not like that the Scarlet streaming platform released films one after another because they felt that it damaged the quality of the works, as if they were made in a hurry.
