Blizzard is slowly getting excited about the upcoming expansion World of Warcraft: The War Within. Shortly after the beta registrations started, the Collector’s Edition was announced.
You can tell that the next WoW expansion is slowly approaching. In addition to the start of beta registrations and a press event in London, the pre-order phase is now also starting with the newly introduced 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition.
This is an expensive chunk, Blizzard wants a whopping 200 dollars for the package. However, Blizzard also packs a lot into the 27.2 x 30.6 x 7.4 cm box and fortunately it even includes the key for the Epic Edition, which is no longer a given. If you pre-order you will also get access to the upcoming beta of the game. It continues with a 2080-page hardcover art book, a collector’s pin with Anduin, Alleria and Thrall as well as a griffin rider statue.
The included Epic Edition includes a level 70 boost, three days of early access as well as 30 days of game time and a number of in-game items: Algarian Stormrider Mount, Stormrider’s Attire Transmog Set, Deepdweller’s Earthen Hearthstone Effect, Squally the Storm Hatchling Pet and the Sandbox Storm Gryphon Toy and 1,000 Trader’s Tenders for the trading post, which you can use to purchase mounts, pets and transmogs, for example.
World of Warcraft: The War Within is scheduled to be released this year, presumably in the summer, and is the first part of a trilogy called Worldsoul Saga, which will be continued with the expansions Midnight and The Last Titan. The Worldsoul Saga is described as an “epic story that celebrates the first 20 years of World of Warcraft and lays new foundations for Azeroth’s future.”
In World of Warcraft: The War Within you delve into the depths of Azeroth and discover hidden worlds beneath the surface. In four new zones, including three underground realms, you will meet the allied people of the Earthen. Additionally, dragon riding is available for all flying mounts, there are new hero talents and new endgame content.
