This surplus is mainly thanks to one title (which you may have already guessed): Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Released on February 29th, the role-playing game visibly showed its full potential over the following four weeks. Would the party be less crazy in hindsight?
If Final Fantasy VII Rerbirth visibly shines in the Land of the Rising Sun, what is the situation internationally? That’s the whole problem: the publisher hasn’t communicated any figures and in fact these could be results that ultimately turn out to be rather disappointing. At least that’s what analyst Daniel Ahmad says: who states that the game “falls short of expectations in terms of sales” and the numbers are only half as good as Final Fantasy VII Remake.
We will of course wait for an official statement from Square Enix, especially since the die is far from cast for what will undoubtedly be the best software of 2024: on Metacritic, Cloud’s Adventure boasts an impressive 92% average. Let us also remember that a new sequel has not yet seen the light of day, completing this trilogy that picks up the legendary Final Fantasy VII of 1997.
