It is certain that Ubisoft is working on the new shooter main part Far Cry 7. In this one we could see a well-known actor from “Oppenheimer” and “Peaky Blinders” as the new main villain.
Ubisoft has already called on several well-known actors in the Far Cry series to embody the villains in the individual shooter parts. In Far Cry 3 from 2012, for example, it was Michael Mando, known from “Better Call Saul” or “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, who portrayed the antagonist Vaas; in Far Cry 6 from 2021, Giancarlo Esposito portrayed him (” Breaking Bad”, “The Usual Suspects”) as Anton Castillo.
The upcoming Far Cry 7 could now count on very prominent support in this regard, because according to a leaker known in the scene, Ubisoft was apparently able to secure a well-known actor to play the role of the villain for the new shooter.
In this case, what is meant is the leaker j0nathan, who uploaded a series of images via social media that resulted in a kind of little puzzle that the numerous followers have cleverly combined in the meantime. If j0nathan and the swarm intelligence are right, then none other than Cillian Murphy will play a major role in Far Cry 7.
Cillian Murphy has been on everyone’s lips in recent years, especially for his role in the multiple Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer”, but also for his performance in the hit series “Peaky Blinders”. The fact that Murphy will be the villain in Far Cry 7 is so far pure speculation, but he has already gained experience with such roles: In the Batman epic “The Dark Knight” he played the villain Scarecrow in an impressive way.
A detail picked up by j0nathan from an earlier leak also suggests that the whole thing is actually about Far Cry 7: Last year had Insider Gaming First alleged story details for Far Cry 7 revealed. So in the shooter you also have to fight against the clock, because you have to save your family from a kind of cult within a certain period of time – and this countdown theme is also taken up in the leak.
An official confirmation of Cillian Murphy’s appearance in Far Cry 7 – as well as the announcement of the shooter itself – is still pending. However, the leaker had already drawn attention to himself in the past through accurate information about Ubisoft titles. We will keep you up to date!
